AIPGMEE 2015-16 Details

According to NBE officials, last year a total of 74000 candidates took the post graduate medical entrance exam for admissions to as many as 5500 seats in 30 MD/MS and 24 Diploma programmes.

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Education – M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized medical college or University included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this examination.

    Candidates who have studied/passed MBBS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh are not eligible for 50% All India Quota. However, the candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply for admission.

    The candidates who have obtained MBBS degree from the Medical Colleges which are not ecognized by Medical Council of India shall not be eligible for this test.

Some of the Universities are having regulations that candidates who are already pursuing the PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard

AIPGMEE 2016 Exam Pattern:  

The entrance exam of AIPGMEE 2016 exam will be conducted in an online mode i.e. computer based test. The online question booklet of AIPGMEE 2016 will be as per the syllabus prescribed by Graduate Medical Education Regulations. AIPGMEE 2016 Admit Card:  Candidates who have successfully registered for AIPGMEE 2016 can download their admit card tentatively in the month of November. Examination authority will send SMS alerts to the registered mobile number of applicants, once the admit card has been issued through email. Candidates must report at the examination venue by the time and slot as indicated in the AIPGMEE 2016 admit card.

AIPGMEE 2016 Result:

The result of AIPGMEE 2016 will declared tentatively in month of January. The AIPGMEE 2016 result will be declared for only those candidates who will score the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. The score card of AIPGMEE 2016 will have candidate’s detail along with the marks and rank secured by the candidates in the entrance test.

AIPGMEE 2016 Cut off:

The cut off score is the qualifying marks as prescribed by examination authority which candidates must score to qualify the entrance test. The AIPGMEE 2015 cut off will depend on availability of seats, number of applicants, and difficulty level in the entrance examination. According to officials, the qualifying mark of AIPGMEE 2016 is 50% marks for general category and 40% for SC, ST and OBC category. The result of only those candidates will be declared who will score the qualifying marks in entrance exam.
